Some of us here are very easy to jump ship and head to another favorite team. Ferrari's string of bad luck should not be looked at as the end of the world. We have to keep thinking positive, support the team however we can. Be it by going to the races, doing real time live chats, stickers on our cars, etc.

I look at Monaco and the last thing I do is ponder the P7 and P8. I look for the positives, one of them being the tires actually held up this time. Both MS and RB were victims of a spin by a slower car, Monaco being a tight track it was something they couldn't avoid. MS was clearly the fastest car, something that is again a positive to me. The gearbox gremlins seem to be gone for now. It looks like the whole package is coming together again.

To me this season is a tough one, Ferrari will come back with vengeance. They have always done so and history proves this.

I don't think anyone is jumping to support another team. I think we are having disagreements about what's to blame for our current slump. I think the reason threads sometimes get heated is that we all want our team to succeed, but we disagree about what needs to be done.
There are those who think the rules have been changed to impede Ferrari and there are those who think we should just dig deep and ride out this slump. There are even some who think we will still win the titles this year, and there are others with more realistic ambitions for the team.
I don't see anyone deciding to support another team though.

It was a generalized statement, but I agree we do tend to get heated sometimes with what is causing the slump. As the Pink Floyd song goes... "United we stand, divided we fall."

Forzahood isn't marriage. It's not infidelity to have other favorites or hopes.

For example, even with Ferrari winning, I was still hoping the "real" manufacturers would do well (Toyota, Jag, Renault), as I still like to think that racing improves street cars ... when done by manufacturers who actually build street cars. (Bring back homologation! ;) Homologation like the F40, the GTO, etc.)

Personally, I'd also like to see Trulli stick it in Brittore's face by spanking the Renaults with a Toyota -- not fanhood, but I like to root for balanced karma. ;)

That I'd like to see Ferrari winning almost goes without saying.

But I'd like to see them running against Alfa, Maser, Lotus, Jag, etc. Those were the days, but they're gone, alas.

I have faith that Ferrari can come back, sooner or later, if they have the will. But then, I also had faith that Alfa could have ... when they dropped out instead.

In an era when people are buying appliance minivans and SUVs instead of cars, when "win on sunday" doesn't "sell on monday", and the average "driver" is lucky to not bounce off the curbs in a turn, much less find the right line, if the "real" manufacturers aren't getting anything out of racing, corporate budgets may say that losing equals leaving.

Ferrari, more than any other marque, *is* F1 -- only because they are the one make that sticks with it, win or lose.

They've lost before. They'll win again ... so long as Fiat doesn't pull the plug.

But there's other racing going on out on track too.

Maybe that's why I didn't find Ferrari dominance boring -- because all of the cars are racing, not just the one up front getting the camera time.

Ferrari will always be my favourite team. But I'm quite happy to see Kimi duke it out with Alonso.

Change is the spice of life. And Ferrari will turn this around eventually. They'll be back one day. I still believe we will even see a Ferrari victory this season. My prediction: Monza!

A fourth quarter comeback is the best way to win. Right when everybody thinks your out. It shows class and determination.

I am 100% not jumping ship, just kinda disappointed in recent performace. Iam sure that Ferrari will get their act together, and surprise everybody. It is only a matter of time. Remember, every team has its problems- it is how they overcome them.

Yeah this is pretty depressing to see Ferrari in a slump. But if anybody knows how to bounce back, its Ferrari, especially Micheal.

    Lotto = luck

Ferrari do not need luck to win. They are a professional team that know what it takes to win!

Agree ... why would we jump ship?.

Many of us became Ferrari fans when they sncked (sort of) ... why would we run away now?

I think the only to turn away will be the recent converts to F1 who have never experienced the REAL Ferrari team.

I enjoy the fact that Ferrari needed my support ... and I believe that all my willing them on over the years finally helped get them there. Thus they are now needing me again :)

One thing I can't stomach is a fair-weather fan. We win as a team and we lose as a team, period. I would still be screaming and yelling like we had a chance if we were behind Minardi in Oct. I'm not going anywhere. Ever.

I'll always be a supporter of Minardi!

They don't have much merchandise for sale, but a friend has a cap. I see some of the corner workers cheering for Minardi as well with the team flag.

    Agreed.

In that sense the current slump will be a good thing: We'll shed some of those guys. When they start selling PCs with the logo on it, you know Ferrari has become way too mainstream.

That would be the cats meow. So enough of this fooling around, time to put competition on the ropes and get some W's.
