    Hey people,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm in the market for a 575 and saw this yesterday (interesting note - the salesman told me it was listed for $109k but I kindly pointed out that it was available for $100k on their website).

The car has some nicks (worn interior, chips, etc.); clear carfax for what that's worth, claimed but no proof of 15k service (actual mileage is 15,495); all in all a nice car but seems a little pricey.

    Any thoughts?

I'd dare to guess that 1st time buyers are guided by emotion and soul, not thought.

    If you're waffling, pass.

Don't let money thoughts distract you.

Find what pulls you in most.

    Don't force it.

    Let it come to you.

Looks pretty much identical to my car. Interior is charcoal with red stitching like mine. It even has the same mileage mine did when it was delivered.

The one thing I would worry about is when the cambelts were done. Should have been in 2008, when it was five years old. The 15,000 mile service is not that big a deal and would not include cam belts, since that should have been done every five years. Align suspension, change air filters (an easy way to tell if the 15K service was done is to look and see if the air filters are new, very easy), inspections, fluid changes should have been annually except for power steering and transaxle (every 2 years), aux belts every three years.

Car just missed getting the later model mufflers with straight center pipes from what I can see (Assembly No. 51797). It should still have the center muffler/resonator and early mufflers. Exhaust note can be improved by replacing center piece with straight pipes.

Go to this site and download a 2003 575M owner's manual and look at the maintenance schedule. Just be advised the cambelt interval is five years or 30,000 miles for all US 575Ms. They never did update the manuals, so the warranty book will still say three years for belt changes.

Consider getting a pre-purchase inspection if you get serious. $95K is about all the money there is in this car assuming it is in excellent condition.

It's now listed @ a dollar shy of $100K, so maybe TS can speak to them :)

Guys, has the F1 on the 575 been reliable so far?

Fairly certain that this car at Manhattan has been on the market and traded among dealers for a very long time. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but would recommend a thorough PPI before proceeding. For this reason, price should be very negotiable.
