I'm getting ready to knock down my old house and build a new one. So, could use the extra cash and don't want to worry about storing the car. It's a 1987 Koenig Testarossa, have all the receipts and paper work from Koenig (first owner John Stalluppi paid $225,000 in 1987). Recent major service from Shelton Ferrari (over 10k), have dyno sheets, 690hp to the rear. I recently upgraded the turbos, fuel management, and intake. I know many people think these cars are temperamental, but I had 1 track day at Moroso this last Dec. I drove car from Tampa to West Palm, about 1 hour on the track, drove back home. No overheating, oil leaks, or any problems, car ran awesome. I have posted pics before, will post again if anone is interested. The car has about 5500 miles, will take reasonable offers. Not looking for outrageous money, close to what a clean 1987 low miles would get but will be a real unique car. Will not sell at a big loss, will hold on to. Email if interested.

So it's a Koenig, not a Ferrari? Do they make a replica?

Euxapisto and epeseis. Another Taso with a Ferrari, etc., small world. Sorry, no bouzouki. If ever near the Clearwater area, look me up.

As far as Koenig or Ferrari, was shipped to Koenig a new car, and he modified it. Like a Ruf Porsche, AMG Mercedes (well Mercedes now owns them)Hennessey Viper, etc. As far as replicar, check ebay. They are plenty of Ferrari replicars if thats what you're looking for.

Tough call. Life is good like that.

I have seen clean 87's go from the 60's. Is this right? This car must be a beast. I know Norwood made several of these twin turbo cars. Do you have any specs? Top end, 0-60, and what mods were made by Koenig? Spec sheet?

I have a couple of dyno sheets, with boost at 13 pounds and at 17 pounds, 658 and 698 rwhp. I also have the receipts from Koenig on the break down on mods done and prices. You can look at Koenig's website , it's the 700 hp package, but I have upgraded quite a few things from that. Never timed car. If anyone is really interested, email for more info. Will not sell in the 60's, probably will in the 70's. I was giving it a few days here, then will try ebay after the 7 of June.

I would think $75k easy. Considering that a nice '87 with that few miles would bring mid $60's, a $10k premium for $100k+ of mods sounds like a steal.

Sell the 911 instead, that TR is simply incredible. You'll miss it.

I've had a few modified 911 turbos, but this car has power everywhere. My 911's you would feel a big lag then wham, this has the torque and the wham. Definitley brings a smile to my face. Usually on modified cars, you get nothing back. I think the Koenig cars are a bit special, they are TUV tested, tests his spoilers in the wind tunnel, great craftmanship, have a lot of memories growing up and reading car mags with Koenig cars being tested. Car has AP racing brakes, Kinesis wheels, been lightened, etc., you guys are beginning to change my mind.

    Taso.
Curious what mods if any were made to the tranny?
Would be concerned about all that power in a stock trans.
    Beautiful TR you have.
    Thanks,

Koenig mods say reinforced intermediate transmission, 5900dm, reinforced gearbox 6900dm,transmission shaft 2900,rear axle unit 9000dm. That is why I was curious on my track day. Car ran flawlessly, if it can take 1 track day, I would think street use would be no problem. I was planning on attending 1 track day a year, would not hesitate on going again.
The only thing I would say is brakes were smoking a bit at the end. Didn't notice a loss in braking, but would think of getting even larger brakes for track use. The 160 indicated (around 140-160 actual mph) on the straight and hard braking to around 50 really tested them . Track was Moroso.
