I am looking at a 1994 348 Sypder, it has 38,000 miles on it and I can get it for $53,000. It is red, black top, and two tone white and black interior. Here is a quote from the ad:

The interior of this car was just reupholstered by Ferrari to the tune of 7500 dollars and is in perfect condition with no signs of wear. The car also has a brand new transmission and clutch that are still under warranty. The 1850 dollar hand made custom embroidered cover came from Ferrari of Beverly Hills, as did the hand1200 dollar sewn floor mats. All 18000 worth of 30k service for the vehicle was done by Ferrari Guys of Ohio and we have the receipts to match, which we will gladly fax to any serious prospective buyer.

Is this a good deal if the car is as clean as he says it is?

    thanks for the help,

    Rob

I am reminded of the old adage that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

The price is around right for a Spider with that mileage. I would like to see receipts for all work and services and know why the car needed a new transmisison. They don't normally suffer catastrophic death. The hand sewn stuff is fluff. The new interior is custom and not stock, so that may be a factor to an enthusiast on resale. I personally do not favor non-stock interiors. Nevertheless, it's the mechanicals that are most important.

I don't know if this helps or not but I paid right at 65k for my 1995 348 with 25,250 miles in May of this year and that was with Lo-Jack with early warning installed, 30k service performed and included all taxes which is what I negotiated for. Everything is basically all stock, which I would agree makes it more valuable then some custom interior work.
Here is the weblink from the dealer when it was up for sale:

And here she is in my driveway :)
