    Hey guys. I'm from montreal.
I'm looking at buying a ferrari in a few months.
A few questions for all you owners out there.
Are the new ferraris 360 easily available. I heard stories
about people in some cities in the US having to wait
several years on the waiting list ?
Now about the price. I know that sometimes in Montreal
the dealers can sell high end cars can be way over priced compared to the US. So is it really expensive to import one from the US ?
I know there is a dealer in montreal near Decarie. I don't
think I will be paying cash so could anyone give me an idea of what the monthly payment can be like and the downpayment....just looking for a approx range
For example I can buy a Porsche C4 s for about
    15000$ down and 1300 $ a month on a 4 year lease.

    thanks

Hey there, good luck in your find. No orders will be taken for the 360 anymore since its discontinued. The waiting list for the 430 Im sure in Montreal will be like the one in Toronto(easier to get into hell). Leasing your fcar through the dealer is not your standard lease as other cars like the Pcar. I know here in T.O the numbers are just ridiculous. Only real options are cash, or you can finance through your bank which would be much better than the leasing. If your not going through the dealer and buying a 2001 car from a exotic car dealer, you may find it still very difficult on the leasing. If your gonna dump it after your 2,3,or 4 years you may want to lease, but I really hope you keep the car instead of doing that.
    Good luck.
    Rick.

They are cheaper to buy in the USA but you wont be able to bring it into Canada without making a few modifications when it gets here. Very expensive and it also makes the car harder to sell in the future simply because it came from the USA. Ive heard it said that the USA cars can easily hide the salvage tittle in some states and you will never know if the car had major damage. There are some nice used 360's available in Canada if you really want one.

    Hi
    thanks for the info
Actually I knew F cars are nearly impossible to lease.
I was just giving info on the porcshe as a marker.
I would be financing it through my bank. Now that
the F430 are out it might be easier to get a 360.
You live in toronto and I think that the market is different.
There is so much more people with money in your city so it means more speculation.
I am guessing it might be easier in montreal.

It will be harder to get them now since the 430 comes out (luckily i have mine) but there are a bunch of people who sell used ones, and that is pretty much only what you can get now. It's not a big deal getting used ones. Nobody disrespects F-cars (well, almost nobody) but I'm not too sure if the 430 is going to be more than the 360? I should imagine so since it is faster. But I am a big fan of the 360, Modena or Spider, so I would reccomend it, but I don't know what you like, so maybe if you wait till the 430 is out until you buy an F-car, I suggest test driving both of them to see what you like. I personally like the 360's more. I do not mind if the 430 is more powerful, the way i see it is, the 360 is faster than cars you normally see everyday, and even if a lot of people have 360's, you still get a bunch of glances, or stares, at you because, Hey, you own a Ferrari. :), But yes, I know people who have ordered from the States, and they said it would be easier to buy from Canada. There's tons on Ebay, and Trader.ca, and exotic car dealerships too. Good luck on your purchase.
Oh, and by the way, this is my first post:)

Montreal is not much different with availability. 360s are high production numbers and should be easier to find. Just take your time and find the car the fits you, rather than buy out of haste.
Good luck, and welcome to the brd.
