I have to be in Taiwan right after my kid's spring break, thinking we might holiday in AUS and/or NZ. Any suggestions. PS, looking for a place I can park my arse for 7 days and have plenty to do, see, eat and drink. Thanks, MB
Don't go to NZ - last time I was there, it was closed! Sin City (Sydney) is good value if you haven't been there before. Brisbane and the Gold Coast is holiday country - just beware of the white shoe brigade (Moretti et al) Melbourne is a wonderful city - great restaurants, lousy weather - especially if your'e gay! I won't tell you how good Perth is - we don't want any more vistors Enjoy your stay JM
John is on the money with Brisbane and the Gold Coast. If you have the children with you, the Gold Coast is perfect. There are a number of theme parks on the GC. - Sea World - Dream World - Movie World The beaches are to die for. LOTS of restaurants [of varying quality] Interesting adult entertainment is easily found Brisbane is 45min away by car / taxi / train. If you want more detailed info, shoot me an email, I am happy to point you in the right direction. Cheers Paul
I went to Sydney last Aug. it was great, lots of places to go and see. Stayed around Darling harbour, aquarium, zoo, bondi beach etc. lots of excellent restaurants and pubs. But don't bother going to the Ferrari dealer near KingsCross, they are a bunch of snobs, can't take pictures of cars and walk around their showroom, don't even want to talk to you. The Lambo dealer was great, salesman was nice he showed me around, Murcielagos and Gallardos sure was nice. Also if you have time go to Cairns, the great barrier reef is a must.
Funny thing is, if you come to the Gold Coast you will meet mostly K1W1s!! I received the electricity bill for Auckland by mistake ($4!! total GDP) Gold Coast is OK but the Barrier Reef is the real go for some diving and warm weather and it's only an hour from the GC by plane direct onto the islands. WA seems to be full of farmers and shady Russian travel agents masquerading as carpet salesmen VIC has great shopping (if you're a woman , or gay like JM) Sydney is excellent for anything but changes quite regularly so don't go by "old" information as the great restaraunt has probably been bulldozed. If you're into geology the Territory would be interesting, otherwise it's just a dirty great rock in the middle of nowhere SA is full of .....how did a disc jockey describe it once, Yass with poofters If you've got the kids (of any age) then the Gold Coast is the place to enjoy yourself
Mine use to be seen a lot around the Coast But I don't think he wants to come to Oz to see Ferraris, well he might but the kids don't
Last time, we´ve been in Australia, we stayed one week at the Whitsundays, took a ride on a katamaran for a few days, did some snorkeling and diving... it was great, even, if you never been in Australia before! We have friends in Melbourne and visited them in Oct, lousy weather, our doughter was there for Christmas, lousy weather again! But once I would like to make the Great Ocean Road at 10 p.m. with a Porsche or Ferrari...
To be fair im sure somebody told him that commodores are one of the greatest cars on the planet hey what did you end up doing with that gtr?
Sold it for far below what i paid for it. Was pretty pissed off at the ordeal. But i needed the cash and the fukn car was a pig. Ive seen it around Sydney a fair bit. It used to cruise with that GTR that has just been smashed (EVL-R34).... Beware any potential buyers of the car. VERY VERY Fast car if only i could keep the engine running for more than 15min....
FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND Or it could be: Ferral North Queensland Ferrari North Queensland Or many others which i could be bothered trying to make up... (Its Monday)
Nice Ausies... Where should I carry our suitcases in a F-car? O.k., I know, the credit-card will be enough...
