anyone here have personal experience (not gossip) comparing using gallardo spyder vers 360 spyder as daily driver? I'm about ready to go back to being a porsche man after all the really poorly thought out stuff on my f-car and before upgrading....was hoping Audi had finally made the lambo a true daily drive that wasn't a cookie cutter design (like my old porsches) so i could compare 360 to gallardo. So I'd love to hear the straight scoop from anyone that has info to share. Definitely want a spyder...sorry to all the purists but it just isnt a sports car to me if it doesnt have an open top...dont care about rigidity that much. I enjoy working on cars..but not all the time and not because it's having ecu, cat, poor clutch wear, poor workmanshi issues, etc. to deal with every other month. Love italian cars but tired of having to worry whats going to go wrong next every time i drive it. Will probably keep my f-car but love the look of the gallardo spyder. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Especially if there are certain years I need to avoid. thanks in advance

I owned 2 360's including a 04 spider (gearshift car), and I now own a Gallardo (egear), and I have a 997S (gearshift), in nice weather I use either of these as my DD. Other than the fact that the egear is not a easy as the gearshift in traffic, they both work well as DD. The Porsche is alot easier to work on, even a simple thing like changing the brake light in the Gallardo requires 30 minutes or more, but they both work well as a DD, and so did all the Ferraris I owned.

thanks, ya..sad that I get excited about how easy it is to do routine maint. like changing a tail light. my m5 didnt even require tools! Thanks for the feedback. I'd heard the e-gear/traffic isssues. How's the clutch wear on e-gears..all things being equal? Thanks again for the feedback.

I've ridden in 360's a few times and it's really quite a boring car compared to the Gallardo, just my opinion though. I have an '06 spyder coming up on 12,000 miles with the stock clutch and no issues; done three track weekends on it too, one service visit so far, 7500 mile.
