Thinking of getting a new ML and would like to hear from owners about there experience with the more recent models. Please if you don't have or have had experience with an ML please don't post that they are ****, or crap or maintenance will kill you etc... I would like to hear from people with personal or as close to personal experience as I can. We have always been a BMW family and have chewed through probably 20 new BMWs in the last 15 or so years and would just like to hear about maintenance and gripes, or wonderful experiences with the truck. Im just getting kind of bored with the BMW product. Its fabulous, but I am just being tempted to the other side at the moment

I've never even been into one myself, but our neighbors do have one, a 500 if I'm not mistaken. FWIW, it seems to me that 1/3 of the time they have a loaner car from the local Mercedes dealer in their yard because the ML is in for repairs...

I've sold them since they came out in 1998........

Get the ML350 BLUETEC.......stump pulling torque, quiet as hell (you won't know it is a diesel) and, best of all, it has awesome fuel economy versus the gas versions. It's a great truck.

I just got done driving an ML350 BlueTec for two weeks. It's a nice truck but still pretty trucky. No sport left in that one.

I've got an E320 CDI and I thought the BlueTec would be too weak for the ML. It works pretty wel in the ML thoughl. I got about 19MPG around town and mid-20's on the road. That's the motor I would get too. The only knock offs are that it needs to be filled with AdBlue every year or it shuts down. $100 for the fill and $200 for the flush and fill at the dealer. Because of the AdBlue tank you're limited to run-flats as well.

I'm not a big SUV fan but I always have one. I'm getting ready to buy an ML.
