    Looking for some help on pricing. Here is the situation, a 1999 355 6 speed spyder with 36,000 miles, needs a major. I should consider a flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing, waterpump and tensioners as part of the engine out since I won't know condition until then.

    The nose and hood have been re-sprayed due to chipping (a very good job). Normal minor wear on the drivers seat.

    That's what I see. So what is a good price range for such a car? Thanks for your help.

    Current condition of the overall car is tantamount to concluding a price. Assuming non-salvage, mid-condition, everything works, totally stock and only needs a major.....It can be anywhere from 75k-95k (very rough ballpark). Post more info.....

    Correct me if I am wrong, but does the "brotherhood" mean 348?? I thought that's what the "Brotherhood" was.......not 355.

    Don't mean to ruffle feathers, but am I wrong??

    Huskerbill, you are right. You need a 348 in order to gain entrance into the brotherhood.

    Sorry about missing on the brotherhood! OK restart.

    1999 355 spyder everything works, single owner,clean carfax, 36K miles needs major plus I don't want to be surprised , so add a flywheel, clutch, throwout bearing, tensioners and possibly brakes Good color and the car appears to be in overall good condition, not mint. How would you value it?

    Its ok...you can hang with the fraternity of 355's when you get yours :)

    Those 348 guys are bad seeds......... ;)

    Huh! Look at him, only owned a 348 for a week and only officialy posted here on the 348/355 section for a week. 355s rock, you know that we know that;) You 348 owners should be thankfull that we exclusive 355 owners even share the same air as you on this mans forum:) You should be worshiping the holy 355 at an alter mounted in your gararges. With the chant "some day i will get a 355", "some day i will get a 355".:D I dont mean to rufflle and feathers like:D

    Everyman on this Forum knows that the 348 looks 100% tougher than the 355 , Just looks the the following results :D :D

    YES - I wish I had a 355 instead of a 348 ______24.32%
    NO - Not that interested in a 355, I'm happy with my 348______70.27%

    It appears you found out about my 355 tailight kit I have on order. And my 355 wheels. And the disc grinder I bought at NAPA to take care of those silly side strakes...........

    Haven't figured out how I am going to get that 355 HP out of my little motor though..........

    The cat is out of the bag!!!!

    He could twin turbo his 348 which would easily get him 500HP+. That would make short work of your measly 380HP 355 output chaa!! But dont feel bad chaa/gothspeed, you guys wont be the only ones getting smoked. One would assume with that amount of HP in a 348, the TT 348 would smoke 360 and 430's alike. :)

    Sounds like it will be a while before that happens ;) So until then, horsepower superiority on the 348/355 forum will default to the better of the two cars.....the reigning 355!!!! :D :D
