Good day, I have a Testarossa 1991 US spec. with third brake light.I am looing for the bulbs.Any body can show me where can i get these bulbs? Thanks
Are they not "nornal" Europese lightbulbs ? Please show a picture of the bulb and one of the txt on the side (metal) ...
as mel already said: picture would be good. is the 3rd stoplight an original? are in this 3rd light bulbs or LED´s?
The third brake light, technically the "center high mounted stop lamp" (or CHMSL) are for the US market only. The assembly is actually from General Motors off Corvette/Camaro. The bulbs are 12V 8W halogen, GE 891. Last I heard these were in stock at Wal-Mart and Autozone but any auto store should have or be able to order. If not there are on-line vendors, search under "GE 891" Edit: just saw the OP's location--not sure what you have available over there for auto parts but they should still be able to source for you. Good luck, hope it works out. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
those bulps seems to me normal glass socket bulbs with 2 or 3 watt. here in every car store available, so nothng special.
No, like I said above, 12V 8W halogen. Not hard to find in US or Europe, hopefully not hard to find in the Middle East.

Hi I would like to change the 3rd brake light bulb . May I know how do I remove the light ? Is this a big job . I have a heatshield material under this bonnet , and I cannot see any screws to remove it . I can only see one cable . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mine is Euro version , it comes with the car so I thoughts it’s always the stock option . I might be wrong but thanks for sharing
The third brake light (CHMSL in US legal speak) only came from the factory on model year 1986, and later, US version TR. Probably got added to your euro TR as a safety requirement for importation to Singapore. I'll give the F Designers very high praise for doing one of the best-looking CHMSL ever on the US TR (that doesn't look like an added afterthought).
You're looking at a computer -- you don't have a search engine, like Google, available to use? CHMSL = Center High Mounted Stop Light
thank you steve for explanation. I already have written in an other post that I not like to have a look at google - there are so many descriptions and nevertheless I will end here to ask. so whyt not just ask here first? had a look at google and found just the meaning
