I have the first Cali delivered in Norway, in June 2009.

As I had an ordinary service on the car in November last year, I was informed that there was something wrong with the gearbox, and that it would be changed without any cost for me.

Of course I had no objections, and the gearbox was changed.

After that, I have had problems with the new gearbox, as the car is slipping out of the third gear! When I am driving i auto-mode, with medium gas, the gearbox suddenly seems to change into neutral. If I push the auto-button, nothing happens, but if I change down to second gear or up to fourth gear, it all starts working again.

This does noe happen all the time, which is the problem, and the reason that the dealer is not able to find the reason for the problem. They have been trying now for weeks to provoke the same problem again without success. When I get the car back, of course it happens again!

Anyerone else that has had a similar problem?

You probably need a new DCT box.

    Go back to the dealer!

Unfortunately the box is not serviceable by Ferrari.

I would ensure you have a paper trail

Tell them what's wrong by email

Ask them to reply by email

Ask them to confirm that in the event that the problem reoccurs after the warranty ends that gearbox repair or replacement will continue for x years after the repair or replacement (with email confirmation)

It's not a problem you want to have (or the next owner) when the car is out of warranty

Not all ferrari dealers are customer focused, mine isn't for example

I would ensure you don't get pushed around by the dealer like happens to me

I'm getting so little help with the exhaust problem on my car I'm thinking of selling it

It's over a month and they still havent called me or emailed me a single time about why US cars get the exhaust headers replaced and UK cars don't

I think that's for the best, better to have it replaced whilst still under warranty

I would also get them to confirm (in writing) that gearbox issues will continue to remain warranty for four years from the date the new gearbox is fitted, for you and any subsequent owners of the car

Service advisors come and go, a verbal assurance isn't enough
