300hp supercharger...more hp/weight than an enzo? 0-60 under 3. under 35k? whats not to like...impressions. and more importantly, any owners?

this baby looks incredibly fun and the reviews have been great. the numbers are mindboggling. only problem is safety..but for 35k...

Yeah I think you'll be closer to $65k USD, but still looks like a blast. Don't know that I would want to cruise it up the 405, but in the back roads you could have some fun with those pesky sport bikes :D

It looks like it has little or no aero grip.

There's only so much those skinny street tyres can cope with...

Thats what always bothered me about the Atom, skinny tires and no aero. Personally I'd go for a Radical or a Jaguar-Palmer.

Well equipped they go for $85K. I just love the concept and the design. However, I still have not pulled the trigger. They are so stiffly sprung that I'm afraid I would kill myself on an off-camber curve in a mountain road here in the Catskills.

I'm afraid my skills are not good enough to master the Atom on public roads. On the track, now that is a different story.

If you Google Video for it, TG has a great episode, and there is also another video of it on the sellers site, the company that will be selling them in the US is based in Oregon, the car they were demoing had washington plates. Very cool car!

I spec'd out a 230 bhp one that's fully loaded, with carbon fiber body panels, and it's $30,000 less expensive than that.

That includes a KONI suspension, with assister springs, that is adjustable in situ, which should keep you on the road.

If I want the wind in my face I'll get a Ducati. If I'm investing in 4 wheels at least give me a cockpit. I know it would be a blast to drive but everybody acts like it is some major breakthrough.... it's a glorified go-kart.

Yes, this is a *very* good point.

I just view it as a go-kart on steroids. If I wanted a proper track car, I'd get a Radical or an Ultima GTR. They're more complete and better sorted out, IMHO.

There's an aero-package available, makes it look like an F1 machine ;)

Radical is useless on the street, and the Ultima is by far not as sorted.
If you like the GT-style cars like Ultima, i'd go for a Noble M12 GTO-3R, that one's sorted ;)
And if you want a stricktly track car, there are other alternatives over the Radical, but in that case, that's a whole different ballgame...

I think this is the next car I am buying. Spec'd out with the 300 hp Honda motor and the accessories I wanted came to about $60k. Aero package / upgraded brake package etc.. I don't think they can produce these things fast enough. Aweome sounds and handling. Like Ferrari on a budget.

That aero package is very cool. But I also like the purity of the non-aero car. Bare and bones handling, perfect!

I wonder if the wings are just bolt-on units? I think you'd lose that nose wing in short order on the street
