Today is a special day in F1 history. This is the 50th anniversary of the death of F1's third champion. Albert Ascari in 1952 and 1953 had wins for Ferrari. Ascari was killed on this date in 1955 while testing at Monza.

Ascari was one of the greatest of all time and died while restoring Ferrari pride at Monza. His devotion to Ferrari and determination to succeed will always be remembered by tifosi.
