I have my original leather pouch for a 1986 328 and the only difference between that and this is that my stallion is embossed into the leather and there is no gold.

He sells a lot of repro stuff on ebay for Ferraris.

This one appears not to be one of his reproductions. Maybe it was his prototype that he made all the fakes from. The repros are made from a slightly different leather.

i have bought a repro pouch from chico before. he did buy original pouches in order to base his repro's off of. when i asked about the original dino pouch, it had been sold. he made no mention about a ferrari pouch. i sent him an email and he says it's an original pouch. when you see the repro next to the original, you can tell the difference, but the repro's are very well done. from past experience, you might want to expect a shipping cost over $50 since it is coming from brazil.

I hope it's fake have you seen the latest current bid. That bidder has paid some incredible high prices for manuals. Do you suppose the bidder and seller know each other? I just can't see spending $5,000 for a manual.

the bidder is a real bidder and a buyer. he doesn't seem to have much interest in resaling items. i don't think the pouch alone will hit the $5k mark, he bought manual sets for a number in that vicinity.

It would seem to be a repro since the reserve is something less than the current $1,800 bid. Given recent prices of original pouches, $1,800 seems like a low reserve.

That aside, which models is this pouch correct for?

i think based on the recent activity, it is a safe bet to put something like this on ebay with no reserve or a low reserve. as long as you don't do a horrible job at describing the item, it should sell.

these types pouches are correct for ferrari's made from the mid sixties to the mid seventies. the specifics of the pouch determine the years/models that they would be appropriate for.
