I have a problem on my 95 F355 that is driving me crazy. It started last week. Car runs fine but while driving the other day, both check engine lights came on along with the ABS light. The ABS light went off but both check engines stayed on. The water temp went up from 190 to 220 in seconds. When I got home, both fans worked, water level was good. Checked the codes and it was 4123 which is speed sensor.. Drove it today and was fine no lights, speedo worked until it seemed the left fan kicked in, temp went up 15 degrees immediatly both lights came on along with ABS which went out in 5-6 seconds but check engine lights both stayed on.Speedo was fine.. When fans went in there was a big shutter, for one second, and then all was ok. I have Dave's gold connector kit for over a year. Why would the ABS light come on? What the speed sensor code? Why a water temp spike when fans work and water level is good?

I learned when my speedo sensor started acting up that it created all sorts of issues but not sure about your codes and especially the water temp. I can see the ABS light coming on if it's not getting the speed signal but not the water temp. It's not an expensive nor hard fix to replace the speed sensor. Daniel had them in stock.

    Check connection on temp sensors.

A few things come to mind Bob. Do you use the battery cut off switch often?

First, check the ground strap going to the clutch bellhousing and make sure that is all intact and tight. Second, look at the ground wire mounting in front of the left fan and on the back of both heads. A ground problem can cause everything you have noted.... been there.

Third, disassemble and clean the rectangular plug connections mounted behind the LR shock tower. Did you ever get those connectors in the kit updates? The spedo signal and coolant temp signal both go through this plug if memory serves me correctly. Over time we identified enough problems with this plug that we decided it had to be dealt with in the kits. If disassembling it, flushing it and reconnecting eliminates the problem, let me know and we will get those connectors to you right away.

Thanks Dave. I have Moton shocks so I don't use those connectors. I have had these shocks for 4 years. I will check the ground straps.

Nope, those are the square plugs on top of the shock tower. I am speaking about the rectangular plug on the reward side of the left tower about 5" down from the top.

Located that connector and cleaned it. It was not part of the kit when I got it awhile back. What does that connector do? I took my exhuast apart to send to Goth for some repair so can't test the car for a few weeks. Also, when that light comes on, it seems like my radar detector goes crazy for a few seconds, it sounds like the laser detecting sound but it is not a steady sound but a very imtermediate, almost like fast Morse code sound.
