As a former Lamborghini owner ('98 Diablo Monterey Edition SV Coupe) I still receive (although why I'm not sure) Midwest Lambos, the midwestern edition of the Lamborghini Club America newsletter. The service manager of Lamborghini Ohio included this, which I must admit I found (unintentionally) funny:

"Most vehicle owners avoid driving in the rain, however, it can happen. External moisture, though, can lead to dry-rotten and/or cracked wiper blades. This can be avoided with a light dusting of talcum power (sic) on the blades."

Okay, is it just me who reads this as a strategy to prevent damage to wiper blades from water? And people wonder why exotic car owners get a bad reputation.

DISCLAIMER: This is not Lamborghini flame bait. Love the cars.

See, I never have a problem with mine in the rain......

In 2001 I started ordering ALL my cars in the "NON" water based color paints!

    LOL LOL LOL

Actually, I liked the newsletter. It is quite good.

I just find it funny that someone feels compelled to give advice how to prevent damage to windshield wiper blades from water.

"To prevent ones car from being exposed to air, use a car cover and cut a box shaped hole in the portion covering the driver side windshield. This may cause this portion of the windshield to be exposed to unwanted air, and you may need to get it replaced every 1-3 thousand miles."
