    I think he is trying to corner the market on Mercedes v-12's! Can't say I blame him, great engines. My 03 CL600 (twin turbo v-12) will hang and beat my 360 in straight lines.

    Some of it does not make sense. the Build number and serial numbers don't jive. There are some Build numbers that go up while the S/N goes down. Is this supposed to be a current list, or a list of cars that were owned by him at one time? Impressive either way!

    While I do not think your comment is truly rude, it does nothing to contribute to the community or to the board. Not everybody has the opportunity, time or interest to read every post on every forum every day. Obvisously as a result, there will be reposts and some of them possibly multiple times. These typically are topics, pictures or quotes that generate enough interest for an enthusiast to post the item as they feel it would be worth sharing.

    Heck, if you owned your own country, which also happened to be sitting on one of the richest oil deposits in the world, you could have a car collection like that too. You could also own a harem like he does as well. Basically, it takes F-U money to own F-cars like that. And that, the Sultan has coming out the wazoo.

    This is my take on this; He doesn't even know he owns most of them. How in the world could he?

    I can't really say he is being "taken to the cleaners" since he has more money than God but for lack of a better way to put it, he is being taken to the cleaners. Some dealer is in good with one of the people who writes his checks and sells the hell out of his inventory. He knows you can't give away some of those 456's so he sells them to the rich guy as needed and they get put away somewhere. The dealer's kids probably drive them for all I know. Then the dealer gets to service them as needed too. If I were this Sultan guy I would be making a trip thru my garage(s) next week and firing a stack of people ASAP. NOT because I can't afford whatever, but on principle alone. Stuff like that just gets in me and won't leave.

    I know, I know, I know, he's rich as snot but still, am I really that crazy for assuming something like this isn't happening?

    I am glad he does this ,

    First he is a "car guy" , with his money is is supporting some of the weird cars or concepts that would never get funded if not for him,

    I am sure Ferrari loves this guy , has built cars for him and some of the ideas have gone into the production cars later.
    And some day in the future , maybe 50-100 years from now there will be a "Royal" garage sale , hope I am invited :)
