Ferrari prices in South Africa. Before reading this bear in mind that the current exchange rate between US $ and South African Rands is about $1= R6.40.

Most prices are approximates, not specific cars just basic ranges.

-308 GTB say 1979 model: R550 000 in good condition.
-328 GTS say 1987 model: R750 000 in good condition.
-348 GTB say 1991 model: R950 000 in good condition.
-355 GTB say 1998 model: R1.45 million for F1 and R1.3 million for manual
-360 modena say 2000 model: R1.75 million(car has 47 000 kms which is high millage) for manual with Challenge kit, most hover in the range of R1.8- R2.2.
-F40 these when they come onto the market hover around the R3.5 million to R4 million mark depending on year and millage (we got Euro spec F40's here)
-F50 there are only three of these to my knowledge in South Africa and the last one I beleive was sold for over R5 million.

Thought some of you may find this interesting, obviously supply here is limited and all our cars imported have been subjected to 50% duty on importation.

There are some amazingly scenic routes to drive around Cape Town--ocean, mountains, vineyards, etc. It's really beautiful. I saw a couple of 360s when I was there--one near Franschoek and the other in Stellenbosch.

Yes we do have some fantastic roads, actually very lucky in that respect, even more lucky in that our traffic police arent well staffed and therefore there are roads where one can drive a Ferrari as the maker intended.

If you ever visit again, let me know....
