I'm quite sure everyone heard about it. Sad. Very sad. So... it shouldn't be too much longer before the "silver 2006 Merc" is found. You cannot get those fenders repaired here locally!

Im confused...How does one know it was an SLR when the description just describes a vague silver 2006 mercedes? Maybe im missing some of the context clues.

    Sad indeed though..

    We'll get 'em.....

I knew a Lt Col Jim Estes while in the military, wonder if it was him. 2222 always has been and always will be a VERY dangerous road.

What I'm curious about is how they know its a 2006 Mercedes. Its obviously much easier to say whether or not it was a coupe, sedan, SUV, or wagon.

There won't be a need to repair the fenders because the Benz got away unscathed. It would have been better if it got hit, that way it MIGHT be easier to find (Ie: body shop investigations etc.)

Hey Sarge, there is a pic of the victim. Hopefully it's not the person you knew.

Nonetheless this is very sad. I hope they catch this guy.

I know Josh has an excellent rep with the MB folks, still sad news to hear regardless on how it happened.

I was asking if it was an SLR. Based off of Schatten's couple of sentences "So... it shouldn't be too much longer before the "silver 2006 Merc" is found. You cannot get those fenders repaired here locally!", I thought it might be an SLR. Certainly some context clues missing, though.

However, I feel I've taken a very poorly timed rabbit trail. Regardless of what make or model of car that caused the accident, I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of life. My regards and prayers are with the family of Mr. Estes.
