Ken, it has been raining quite a bit here lately. It was not so rainy last summer. There is always a chance of thunderstorms just about every day during the summer. Its like Florida without the beach. I terrified of being caught in a bad thunderstorm with hail in the Ferrari.

    Mitch--
just remember to look for banks and malls when the the storms roll in--drive thru banks are good protection and most malls have parking decks

Ken, maybe this wet weather pattern is a result of you moving to Atlanta from Florida ! Ha, just kidding ! Well, at least last Sunday was very nice, and you got to drive the car into the "twisties" a little.

Actually, this current weather pattern is NOT normal for the area. It seems to be a continuation of this past winter, but with warm temperatures. Usually, during June and through parts of July, a Bermuda high pressure system will sit over the southeast and bring those sunny, warm to hot days. It seems as though the weather pattern has changed for this summer, as two summers ago, it was hot and sunny most of the time. Perhaps there is front parked over the Tennessee valley area that isn't moving and no jet stream driving it, so constant overcast with many "popcorn" rain showers. Yeah, it can be somewhat depressing, but there is always southern California. I haven't seen a long range forecast based upon computer models in quite some time, but maybe this pattern indicates a very active hurricane season this year. Who knows ??

If it rains on the car, it certainly won't melt, but you have chance to see how good your wax job is, and if the wax job is really very good, then the car should be almost self-cleaning.

On the other side of the coin, there are people with Ferraris in the Atlanta area that complain when it is hot and sunny, and they don't like their car to be in the sun. I say, go drive the car, that's what it is for... isn't it ??

    Keep the rubber side down............
