    Random first-glance thoughts:

    - I like the price.
    - But, 65K Miles is higher than *I* would consider, if I were shopping.
    - To be fair, the price looks to be taking that into consideration
    - I noticed the rims as well
    - The tools, manual, etc are nicely present. If those things are important to an owner, it's a big plus. Targa cover also present... that's nice too.
    - Engine cosmetically looks decent. Not outstanding, but not ignored either.
    - The extra floormats don't fit correctly
    - Underside/frame could use a bit of resto/care
    - Couple paint chips
    - The front of the engine bay, driver's side, top of the firewall - there's a piece of panel missing. As if it broke off? Looks like I'm seeing insulation or fabric there. That bit does concern me, as it would need to be repaired.

If one were in the market and looking for a driver for a good price, I think this one would be worth a PPI.

One positive is that the belts have been done- but that was 14 months ago.

They also have a 1987 328 GTS on their site with about 2,000 more miles but asking $79,500. And the belts are about 33 months old. That's quite a discrepancy for 2 years newer and 2K miles more and roughly half belt life remaining. Makes the 308 look like a bargain. Perhaps the 328 is on consignment and the owner is not yet relaxing their asking price. My impression on Fchat is that Fantasy Junction (despite the name) has a good reputation. Probably worth a PPI.

This is my opinion, after buying and enjoying a 308 and a Mondial.

If you like to DRIVE your Ferrari, do not focus on the mileage. These cars are 30+ years old, so low mileage does not necessarily translate to good condition. Conversely, high mileage does not translate to poor condition. I speak of personal experience. My Mondial is newer, and has 10K fewer miles but went through multiple owners who did not maintain it well. It is being restored to its original glory, but it required more work TLC than the older, higher mileage 308.

My point is: if available, pore through the service records. Have a PPI done. It seems to be a clean car, and at an ask price of $55K, it is very reasonably priced.

On the other hand, if you are looking for an investment or a collectible, then I guess I can see why you would be concerned about the mileage and the wheels.

I believe it's Priced accordingly for the condition. At a glance, the interior looks tired.
No such thing as an inexpensive Ferrari. Pay now or pay later.. :)

65K miles is nothing, when I bought my QV eleven years ago, it had 67K mile which I chose over a 40K and a 35k miles QV. This could be a very good deal/buy if it's maintained properly and regularly.

At second glance, looks as there has been paint work at some point. Sail panel seam between rear window louvers and rear deck lid should be black sealant but painted body color.
Definitely not a deal breaker but would want to know if considering a purchase.

65,000 miles is chicken **** nothing mileage.

I bought my 84 20 years ago with 57,000. I've put another 60,000 so far.

    They are very robust engines.

The first 15 years I was tracking the hell out of it too. A great deal of that last 60,000 are very HARD miles.

Fresh fluids and lots of driving is the best medicine. Sitting in a garage to keep the miles down is just not good for them.

Really? They look like stock 16" QV wheels to me (as the front and rear center forms are different unlike the 16" reproductions) -- what do you see in the tea leaves to show otherwise?

In spite of all this I still think it's under priced.

The Factory wheel should say Ferrari. Here's a front wheel off of an 85 308QV as an example.

Ferrari used multiple wheel vendors on many models. The example (with the cast raised letters) that you posted, I believe, is Cromodora made -- I believe the other wheel vendors (Speedline? Tecnomagnesio?) used decals or screen printing (so the wheels on the for sale car may have been repainted -- they also look a little too silvery vs the dull stock grey). Here's a thread showing a 120927 8"x16" rear wheel with the decals:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/515709-wheel-identification.html

Here's another thread with an example of a 8"x16" without the raised letters:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/474052-restoring-16-rims-print-help-needed.html

And this thread has some description about how the center "star" is pushed out a little on a stock 7"x16" while it isn't on a stock 8"x16" (and the wheels on the for sale car seem to have this difference):

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/308-328-sponsored-yellow-compass-group/207408-308-replica-wheels-questions-5.html

I believe the stock wheels from any of the official wheel vendors will have the 120926 & 120927 part numbers on the backside of the spokes so that would be my criteria for "original" -- JMO.

The pick is too blurry to read the tire size to see if the front and rears are different.

Scroll down in the pictures -- there are some close-ups of each wheel that show the physical difference in the "star" position.
