Today was a beautiful Sunday for a drive. So, I started the 308 and backed it out of the driveway on to the street and immediately stopped because something didn't sound and feel right. I got out and found that my right rear tire was flat. I have owned the car for 6 years and this was a first. It was also the first time trying to using the jack, which I found out does not fit under the car with the tire flat. So, I got a board and a brick and backed the car up the improvised ramp, just tall enough to get my jack under. I must of been doing something right because about this time, a friend of mine from down the street was driving by and stopped. He said not to worry because it was a Sunday, he had a tire repair kit at the house. That was great, so I took the tire to his house. Twenty minutes later, the tire was repaired and I was back on the road again. Hallelujah!

Gotta love the "parked over night" flat tire... only ever had one of those myself...be glad it didn't happen while you were driving

I've had aluminum rims leak air {45 year old rims}. They leaked through the bolts holding the 3 piece wheels together. Not fun and much more work to fix than a simple flat tire.

Ferraris are so great. Even a flat tire is entertaining. I'm sure your neighbor is telling all his friends how he fixed a flat tire on a FERRARI.

gald it worked out so painlessly. I carry a short piece of 2 x 4 in the car with me just in case. Of course, it still might not be enough....

I had a mystery flat tire last week. I took it down to the local filling station to top of the air in all 4 tires. Drove home, no problems. The next afternoon I walk in the garage and my front passenger tire is FLAT. My neighbor is a joker and borrowed some leather cleaner/conditioner that afternoon and put it back in my garage after he was done. He knew I just filled up the tires and I thought he may be playing a prank on me. I asked him and he stated he did not do it. He likes pranks as much as I do but would not mess with that car. I filled the tire with a small portable compressor I had and the tire held the air. Drove it to dinner last night no problems. The only thing I can think of is that the pin in the valve stem was stuck slightly in after I filled it and it slowly leaked air overnight.

It'd be a wise move to carry a basic tire plug kit (very easy to use) and a cigarette-lighter-powered mini compressor. The Slime pump is great; I carry one in my cars and on my motorcycles under the seats. Has all the power plugs you could need and works well for it's size. And cheap. Never get stranded from a fixable flat again! :D

Exact same thing happened to me a few months ago. After I refilled the tire I could hear the air leaking out from the pin in the valve stem. i played with it for a minute and it stopped "hissing" at me, ever since then so issues.
