    Saw that on the news this morning. Pretty crazy. The pilot was lucky to be able to walk away.

    looks like a structural failure actually. Some kind of mount breaking or a frame crack hitting critical length. The motor is way too loose in the frame way to early to be just a blade breaking. A blade induced vibration would show up in the rotor head first and this seems to start in the fuselage first. The way the tail just falls off way before it rolls over points to some major structural failure.

    NBC had another view of the incident.

    Workers standing straight off of the nose were managing lines to the load. One worker tried to "exercise" his line to untangle it and give him more control of the load. The line flipped up and caught the main rotor.

    Game over!!!
