I don't understand the roof-mounted hood scoop since the 599 is a front engine car.

The white color on it would be very nice - if it was left stock looking.

Surprisingly it didn't hurt my feelings any more than seeing a nice Civic or Accord with the same treatment. C'est la Vie. Another chopped up car with holes drilled in it. In a few years it will be repainted, holes filled and one of us will unknowingly purchase it. Or parts.

 

I hate the term "riced" for many reasons.

But you gotta admit: if you get a rock chip with this dazzling but low-maintenance gold finish, all you'd have to do is rub on a little gold leaf!

 

Just an acronym for race inspired cosmetic enhancements, not racial at all.

 

What horrible a way to ruin some great cars!

Wow this is terrible! There was a thread about this once in So Cal Section called, "How Rice is done in Orange County."

 

Agree, money doesn't always buy taste and while these may be ugly as sin it's their car and their business. I would simply choose to ignore them. Actually that's probably the worst insult as the owners are obviously looking for attention. Posting them on Fchat is giving them the attention they want.

These types of owners really don't bother me anymore than those who buy their cars thinking they are museum pieces and don't dare take them out of the garage as it might get a ding or chip.
