You got it. I'm jealous. Jealous of all of that right-seat expertise and killer trolling skills.

I've flown in a car probably further than most people commute. I have fun in cars.

Point is people's fun shouldn't be putting other people's well-being in risk. If a group of people were dumb enough to want to skydive w/o parachutes, I'd say let them (Darwin's law), but not over the most heavily populated areas like Gumball takes looking for media hype. Look at me! Look at me! I have a fast car with stickers on it.

Yeah, we party like rockstars, after the rally is over. Not every night and then hopping in race or exotic cars hungover to drive hundreds of miles on public roads.

Did you forget all the spectators rally car have injured and killed over the years? I love WRC but doesn't it also put other people's well-being in risk? Sure they are part of the event but I don't think they came there expecting to die and get run over.

BIG difference between choosing to stand in unsafe viewing spots along a closed WRC stage watching the event versus driving your family to church on a public road.

Most stagerallies don't allow open spectating anymore. There are designated spectator areas choosen for safe viewing area and marshalled by workers and/or police to keep people in safe locations. If people choose to sneak into another location for whatever reason, Darwin's law applies. Little difference between skirting stage security at a stagerally and climbing over the fence during a NASCAR race.

You don't see the hoards of people standing in the roads at WRC thesedays like there were in the 70s & early 80s GroupB era because the organizers changed the rules to protect people. Seems from posts above, Gumball can't even enforce who is driving cars w/ them.

I drove the first stage with the group when the Bullrun rally started in our city. Crazy speeds on public roads.....no real regard for public safety or anything. Cops caught them by the dozens, just like they show on TV.

I wouldn't think the entry cost would be such a big deal when you just dropped over $500K on that car!

Most of the gumball is on public roads so you more less tag along, as for after party's that's the part witch is not %100 if you make friends with some of the guys they just invite you along. As a lot of the guys are sponsors by the companies backing them up so they just do what they want. Its a super hard event to control who is who!

But we should have a good group of cars driving with us so we can create are own after party if nothing else. Plus after a 7 hour drive a lot of participants end up taking it easy anyways! And the drive is free for everybody:)

The gumball cars are covered with the gumball vinyls/decals/stickers... so that's probably how the organizers can tell if you are part of the event.
