Rob...I am far from the person doing 50 in the right lane, however I do not weave in and out of cars in heavy traffic, esp when there is a chain of cars following. A red or yellow sports car calls attention to yourself, but this kind of driving just asks someone to call the police.

BTW....that kind of driving would not be permitted on the track either.

Please do not take offense, but I couldn't help but to make a "haha".

No offence taken....I know the situation......its nice to have the law on your side, as I do too, however a ticket is one thing, a MVA w/injuries is a little tough to get out of esp with the lawyers. All I am doing is giving you a few years of wisdom.

    Adam,

I, for one, appreciate your advice and will take it to heart the next time the urge to be unsafe hits me.

The only reason i buckle up when i start my car each day is because i am afraid someone is going to hit me, i am not worried about my control over my car because i am generally far from the limits of my automobiles capabilities. Driving would be a lot more fun if they re-paved everything and the other cars weren't moving at the same time ;P

    Speaking of......
We should see a post soon from Alpine Rose Resorts.
Those folk were the ones selling Memberships to a private track being built in Pa. As I recall, limited to 1000 members, $30K pre-build initiation fee & $5K/year maintenance fees.

No affiliation. Just passing on the info for anybody who missed it at FoCNJ.

But seriously, I didn't think we were cutting in and out of lanes but switching lanes and ALSO flicking the signal. The traffic was heavy and everyone was going slow. Even if we were not following someone who happens to be a cop I don't think I would have changed anything. No way were we being fast and the furious.

Being that I have raincoats older than most of you, I will speak from experience. One mistake by you or another driver during a wild run, and your life CTRL-ALT-DELeted and never to be the same one way or another.

I have seen it before and have been lucky enough to avoid it. Sometimes you just have to hold back a bit.

But over your own? Cars don't injure people. Drivers do.

I just saw a Corvette hitting a Deer last night in Salt Lake City. It wasn't pretty...and I don't mean the deer.

    Another excellent point.

I have this hat that says "Protect me from what i want". I used to wear it when trying to convince large companies to spend ridiculous sums of money. Mayne I should break it out when driving the f-car.

The speeds that we attained during the Midnight Run, at night, on uncharted roads (at least for some of us), with the potential for deer and other animals, still scares the Be-Jezuz out of me.

I wasn't around that day for the FoCNJ viewing, so don't know what happened, but drive safe fella's. Let's keep the East Coast alive and kickin', with the emphasis on "alive."

That is sad to hear but the way people were ripping out of Central I would not doubt it for a minute. When Rehan and I were driving a red 575 zipped by us for no reason. I think his wife liked my car more. ;)

I think the term "Thoroughly embarrassed by some drivers" would apply to you also :) At the speeds you drive you hold up traffic!!!
