At least the weather in Cleveland was actually nice today. We hit 66 degrees during gametime, it's just too bad that I drove 250 miles to see my home team get shut out by the Bungals. And what makes things even worse, I live in Cincinnati so upon my return, I'll undoubtedly get plenty of s**t from everyone about this game!

I can't place any blame on Charlie Frye. I think he's a good QB with plenty of potential. We just need an offensive line, a defense and some #1 draft pick receivers who can actually catch the ball!

    Cheers,
    Aaron

Just be glad that league has a playoff system. My Florida Gators don't have a shot at the BCS championship this year even though we can possibly be 12-1 after the SEC championship. I hate this, a lot. My Buccaneers are terrible, too.

Florida IS a good team, they just don't look like they are in the same caliber as OSU, USC or U of M, then there is a pretty large gap back to number 4, and there are several teams there running 4 thru 10 that could be in any order.

Some teams people think should be higher - Rutgers gets beat by Cincinnati, West Virginia gets beat by South Florida, Texas by K-State, Auburn got crushed a few weeks ago by an unranked team (Georgia ?) and they were 'supposed' to be #2 material, it all shakes out as the season goes on.

We will just have to see how UCLA treats USC this weekend.

It's hard to compare teams that don't play directly imo. A playoff would solve this clearly.

I.e. Florida played Tennessee at Tennessee and beat them 21-20. Tennesse played Cal at Tennessee. Tennessee led Cal 35-3 entering the 4th quarter. USC played Cal at USC and the game was 9-9 entering the 4th quarter.

Then Florida beats LSU 23-10. LSU beats Arizona 45-3. Arizona beats a ranked Washington State, Cal, and Oregon.

Florida loses to a ranked Auburn at Auburn. Very close game. Florida allowed no offensive TDs. Questionable call. Same Auburn team that beat Washington State 40-14. USC beat Washington State 28-22.

Florida has yet to play Arkansas, which was beaten 50-14. However, Arkansas had an injured McFadden and Felix Jones in that game along with a different QB.

Sure we haven't put up as many points as USC in recent games, but the teams we play actually have some kind of defense. Pac10 doesn't play defense and certainly Notre Dame doesn't even come close to having a defense.

As far as Georgia beating Auburn, they're a good team. They've been ranked nearly all season and currently #29. They beat a ranked Auburn and #15 Georgia Tech (the team in the ACC championsihp game). They had two losses to unranked teams (out of 4 losses) that hurt them. Their freshman QB, Stafford, didn't play in those games. He was a top 10 QB for that recruiting class (USC and Michigan offered him spots) and he wins when he plays. Right now Georgia has the #2 2007 recruiting class, as usual. They'll be strong next year when Stafford is a sophomore.

Edit: I think you're a bit wrong on the BCS gaps. OSU is all alone on top at 1.0000 and ahead by .0540. USC, Michigan, and Florida are all within 0.0563. #4 Florida and #5 LSU are split by 0.0791.

    OSU to USC: 0.0540
    USC to UM: 0.0244
    UM to UF: 0.0319
    UF to LSU: 0.0791
