Prefer to go with the spider - may flip to black with white and reverse. Def don't want coupe long term. Very happy Ferrari went this direction and left 812GTS design live on. Obviously there is no chrome bumper but there are ways to change things a bit at the nose.

I think the coupe design, especially with the privacy glass, really lends itself to the delta wing design. And that is something pretty new for us to absorb stylistically. The spider is more traditional as the delta wing is missing, but they’ve left the black rear area. The rear light area reminds me of an evolution of what they did with the 812 Comp lights/ rear area- it’s like it’s opening up between the bumper and the top of the trunk/ spoiler. The 812 Comp clearly squares off the round 812 rear lights, but in a way that it’s obvious they are round under the bodywork. The SF90 has the squared off quad lights. Here we get quad slits, which is a kind of mix of the traditional quad look, with an extreme, paired down squared lights/ take on the light bar look.

My issue so far is the most obviously distinctive part of the design is a black bar, and the point of that is to link back directly to the 365 GTB/4. On the other hand, Ferrari has directly linked to past cars before, what instantly comes to mind is the shark nose on the F430 that linked back to Phil Hills 156 F1 racer- I think from 1961.

I was on the fence with the 12C, but it's definitely grown on me. Decided to spec it up today and I think I'm there with getting excited about it.. here's what I'm going for.

I also think the black parts work very well on the coupe, but not on the spyder. The car looks great, but on the spyder the rera black parts don't make all that sense to me.

Did a quick online spec, and there is an option for carbon boot trim. However, it makes the trunk lid carbon, but not the flaps on the sides.

It’s hard to tell what part it is. On the online configurator, I see carbon all across the back lip, but unclear if it’s the entire flap.

On the spider, the rear lip and the center rear panel can be carbon, but not the 2 rear flaps.

On the Coupe, the front black strip on the hood can be Carbon, but not on Spider.

    This was dealership configuration.

It would but I think the black mandated accents are going to spoil the elegance.

I really think they are going to have to reverse this black mandate

I highly recommend avoiding solid paints on the 12C. It has smooth lines and few interruptions (ie. intake vents) and might appear blob-ish without the depth and reflective properties of a metallic or pearlescent paint.

First inclination is Bianco Italia or Fuji with black wheels…. but I’m not sure if black wheels suit this model…

Rosso Magma with silver wheels… but I already own a bunch of red cars and I like variety….

    Blu Roma with silver wheels….

    Verde Dora with silver wheels…

I like Grigio Titanio over Tortora on the configurator. I think lighter colors suit the design well. Love the new green on the launch spider.

If you have to ask....Yeah, I know, but $13,500 for Nurburgring silver? $36,000 for 3 stage paint. To quote an elderly dementia patient: 'Come on man'.

Also please budget both the time and money to paint correct these 3 or 4 layer colors.

The factory does an awful job of finishing the special color cars. You would think it is opposite but it's not.

You would be shocked at how unfinished the cars can show up.

They need time to be polished out BIG TIME
