    I have absolutely no problem owning an EV as a daily driver. But as a fun car? No way. For me its all about the sounds and smells and shifting for myself.

    I only drive manuals (4 of them), EV 'driving' to me is closer to taking an uber/lyft than actually driving. So your thought experiment, to me, would mean that my hobby becomes effectively outlawed. Unfortunately, there are people working hard on doing the same to my two other hobbies (general aviation and shooting sports).

    Soon enough, we'll just be forced to do everything on our screens/headsets anyway.

    ...oh, and get off my lawn!
