360 Thought i was a 3 day job ,now turns into a 7 day job

I am thinking, this heat exchanger thing is over $500 new. There must be alternatives , like those on other vehicles that's a lot cheaper and possibly more robust
Anyone spotted anything that would fix, sizewise? Modifying the connections aren't an issue I suppose.

 

end up opening up the gearbox and do it the thorough way. Good to have a cousin to have a transmission shop handy.
