I have an 05 Avalanche. I love it. 62K mi. and have not touched it. Bed you can secure. Built on a Suburban chassis. Ride is plush. I was looking at 07-08's. If they go $10K below sticker I'll trade. If not I'll run this one to 100K plus.

We had a Denali (same size) for a couple weeks while our SUV was in the shop and the damn thing is just HUGE! If you get it, make sure it has the parking sensors on the back! On the plus side. It was big and safe and I felt good driving it up there! :)

    And listen to VTC4198! :)

The computor says 15 ave. mpg since start-up. Checked myself on a 600 mile interstate roadtrip and got 19 mpg. It is big and tall, but feels safe up high. Feels odd to get in a car.

That sucks - sorry to hear that.

Was at an Infiniti dealership in Riverside 2 months back. A single mom and her kids just returned from taking a 2005 Suburban (used car) for a test drive and were preparing to go inside to do paperwork when the kids ran out complaining of smoke from the AC vents. My friend and I (overhearing this) looked up to see the Suburban's front seat area was fully engulfed. The lady's kids were just in there a couple minutes before! That Suburban burnt to the ground by the time the fire department arrived.

I'm just kidding. The Avalanche barely qualifies as a truck. But it's a truck, and trucks must be American.

Give me a dam hot dog before I kill myself.

Can't go wrong with GM's these days. In my recent experience with GM pickups, Yukon/Denalis which we've owned over the years, they are great all around.

Only drawback is they're big and drink too much gas.

also considering nissan armada........ anyone? anyone ??

i test drove last night, great smooth ride and tons of room inside. the gas mileage is only amout 1- 2 mile different compared to the 6 cylinder pathfinder. very impressed with ride and spaciousness. but dont know crap about nissan. i do know that the armada had a problem in 2004 for brake problems - was going through pads left and right but problem was corrected.
