Just thought i'd put some good energy out into the world,

and let our Italian brothers and sisters know we are thinking of them , and sending prayers, while they some to grips with the harsh realities of the
earthquake that happened last night (this morning).

Yes, my thoughts are with them. Talked to friends north of Rome and they slept through it. Fortunately they are about 40 miles away from the center. Others are not so fortunate.

I just made a donation to the Italian Red Cross (Crocce Rossa Italiana) to do my part to help those in their hour of need. It would be nice to think that other members of this community might be interested in doing the same. Those so inclined can follow this link:

    http://www.cri.it/donazioni/index.php?mode=form

Be sure to select “Sisma Abruzzo – Aprile 2009” under the “Causale della Donazione” heading. Also, click on “Stati Uniti” under “Nazione” to allow the form to work correctly for US donors.

I forget a lot of you are not subscribed and missed the post in the silver section.

This is my Province(Abruzzo) I am from Chieti located 45 min away from Laquila where the devastation occurred. Some relatives live there we still can't get a hold of anyone though. Two other relatives were planning on flying out tomorrow for a two month stay in Laquila but now not sure what to do.

My Sister in Chieti was woken up by the tremors it cracked walls shook furniture but no casualties thank God.

Reports of an early prediction was made months earlier by a scientist but the President ordered him to pull all his information off the INTERNET because he was causing panic?????? I'm sorry but what a moron, thats just embarrassing. Now we will see a lot of back pedaling.

I know of a few others here on F-chat that are from Abruzzo as well, I hope your relatives are fine, prayers go out to all that were affected in this tragedy.

Ciao Frank, Greg and Roberto & other F-chatters of Abruzzo,

I sincerely hope you have had good news in the last 24 hours.....i understand the fright firsthand of a big earthquake (7.1 in Northern California in 1982) that shook
    me out of my bed....

My meditations and prayers continue for you , your families and all who are trying to aid them.
