I'm still looking to buy a 550 and enjoy it for a couple years while I await my F430 delivery.

After a bunch of research, I've narrowed it down to 2000/2001 model years with under 15,000 miles. My guess is that in today's market I should be able to find a very solid, 7,500-12,000 mile, fully serviced 2000 model for between $120-125k or a 2001 for between $130-135k. (Also any thoughts here about this purchase price range?).

Assuming I continue to fully maintain the car and put no more than 10,000 additional miles on it the period, any thoughts on what should I reasonably expect the value to be when I sell it in mid to late 2007 in conjunction with buying the F430?

    Thanks...

IMHO, Maranellos are bottoming out as we speak. Your price ranges may be $5,000 to high, but the extra money would be worth it for a good car.

I'm guessing that you can buy today and sell in two years with no more than a 10% drop in price.

My 550 was purchased in AZ in May, 2004. It had 11,300 miles on it and I was the third owner. I put 6,000 miles on it last summer, from July until November.

A couple of months ago, Ferrari Denver sold a comparable car (a 1998) for about $122,000 I think. On eBay, sellers seem content to sell in the high 120's. But they're really trying to get 130+
Good luck with your choices. If you want to see movies of my 550 on a track, chasing F40's and leaving 360's in the dust drop me an email. John
