I'm pretty sure that Matt was ribbing you. But it makes sense because no matter what anyone does, the 348 and 355 sound different. So the approach towards accurately replicating the F1 sound can be different. And second to that, following this forum, the 355 owners are more vocal than owners of the 348. Maybe because there are more of the former here?
That does not sound very good at all. I am not trying to be a smarty, but honest question, does the 348 have a bypass valve? The video clip would suggest no.
I had the superformance and high flow cats on my 348 and could not have been happier, nice scream at high rpm but not too loud . if you like the sound of tubi , you will like the nouvalari/superformance
I have free flow cats and Nouvalari sport on mine. Love the sound... you can see a small onboard clip on my IG @slow_348
I have Nouvalari Super Sport with cats. To me, it's not very load unless your in a tunnel. When you say "straight pipes", do you mean no mufflers? ... or no cats?
Iv'e read on a few threads about simply deleting one of the 2 mufflers with or without deleting the cats. Which muffler would you remove? Keep the lower one and that preserves the stock tips but then you would have to fab up a hanger but that doesn't look to be too hard. Keep the top one and then fab up some new pipes to the tips. Which muffler is more restrictive?
All the ones i have seen keep the top muffler and short simple pipes down to tips. Common consensus is it does not make much of a difference/ sound aftermarket/ get loud.
The top muffler is the one that generates the heat which melts the tail lights. Very close proximity too. So that's the last one I'd keep. Here was mine before I replaced the lens, which are very expensive btw. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've got the tubi from my 348 for sale if anybody is interested. Few nicks and scratches but nothing major. Needs a good buffing out
