So I’ve basically gone full carbon fibre in the 2005 360 Spider engine bay. Very happy with it. Interior wise, just the paddles have been switched to carbon fibre. Have retained all OEM pieces in case I eventually sell. Question for fellow owners: wanted to get some opinions regarding what would be, if any, the best parts to change to cf interior wise? Or should I just quit now? Was thinking the air vent cowlings (OEM look tired and worn) and maybe the instrument display housing . Thanks for reading this far!
I replaced all of the aluminum and silver painted trim pieces and interior bits with carbon fiber including the door sills, lower door cards, center console, radio and climate control surround, gauge cluster bezel. In my opinion the silver bits made the interior look more dated. Many purists hate the cf look I have going. To each his own! I respect the desire for originality too. I, like you, have full cf bits throughout the engine bay. I think the whole setup I have looks sharp! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
The dash part with the yellow CS over lay is very nice part. Who cares what others think its your car.
I agree that if you want to change anything on your car, it's yours to change. That said, if you're planning on ever selling the car, keep in mind that a very high percentage of potential buyers would be looking for a stock, unmodified car. So swapping those non-stock parts will lower the desirability of your car and potentially make it harder to sell for a good price. I suggest saving every bit you take out and be prepared to put back the stock parts so you can sell the car easier. Custom parts are a story. Nobody likes stories when they go to buy a car.
That’s why as mentioned in the original post, all OEM parts have been kept and secured for a potential buyer. Not everyone desires a 100 Percent stock car. Mine came with some carbon fibre parts already installed. Personally loved them. Kept them there and didn’t change them back to stock.
