Thinking about pulling the trigger and buying one. Anybody have a review or thoughts on this car?

Is the yellow better or the red?

A fantastic model, to be sure. I had one last year, but sold it (which I regretted immediately). I sat out a year without it and just this week purchased another one (it'll be here tomorrow, says the UPS tracking info). I had, and am getting, the red. If you'd like I could take some pics of whatever details you're specifically interested in when it arrives tomorrow - just let me know.

here are some pics from when I had it the first time...

The 250 GT is a fantastic model. I have about 15 CMCs in my model collection and the
only other make that comes close is the BBRs. I cant wait for the 156 and
    Testarossa. They should be superb!!

I'm thinking of getting a CMC 250GT SWB, but can't decide what color to get..

To bad they don't release them in silver. That would be the perfect model :)

Very very nice and correct model, but plastic headlightglass get a little "milky" by the time.

I bought nopassn's CMC SWB last year.

It's certainly a great model. Its the only CMC model I have at this point so all I can compare it to are the Kyoshos, Hot Wheels, etc, etc. It is definitely on another level...as it should be for that $$.

I also have red and love it - it will be a centerpiece of your collection. The only better I've ever seen is the BBR 375+.

I've got the #4 BBR and it is stunning, the CMC is pretty close though. I heard from the dealer I got mine from that they are getting ready to wrap up production on the SWBs and get set for the 250 TR and 156... Can anyone confirm?

To any one who is on the fence- BUY IT. The model is in a class of its own. The BBR 375+ comes close but not close enough.
Everything on the model is metal. From the unreal windshield wipers with real rubber blades to the brass bumpers that are chrome plated just like on the real car. Where it really shines and wins over the BBR is underneath. The chassis detail can keep you busy easily for an hour with countless new detail to be discovered. The body is also made from stamped metal sheets, to keep the thickness in scale.
Absolutely the best 1:18 model (as far as execution goes) ever made at any price. Let alone $250. It is the same price as the Super-Laughable-Elite HW, but worth at least ten of them in craftsmanship.
As far as red or yellow, I have the red and the more I see the yellow here and there, the more I think about getting the yellow too. Yellow is the hardest color to paint and to get it right, like CMC did, is an achievement. Either way, whatever color you like best is irrelevant. As long as you have one of these in your collection.

The envelop was still sealed, but as soon as I saw the tear down there I knew what had happened. If you can find another one, that'd be cool, if not - don't sweat it. The model was without the mirror before... won't hurt to still not have it.

The CMC 250GT SWB is the best looking scale Ferrari I own. Some criticize it because it rides a little higher in front than in back but I think the real ones do too.

I forked out the money at Last years Concorso Italiano Direct from the U.S. Distributor and should have bought sooner. It is absolutely beautiful. Now if I just get the car out of the box and displayed, it will look ever better. He had kind of mentioned then about the 156 but I had forgot about it.

It would not be out of character; Remember the mirror scene from Gumball Rally:

I agree. Tecnomodel made this in 1:24 a while back; one version was silver, and another was a very mild metallic silver/green, Enzo's personal car, that was just stunning. I couldn't afford it at the time, and regret not getting one. You can see it at https://modell-paradies.de/detail_tecno2402c.html

I got the CMC 250GT SWB in yellow and all I can say is WOW!!!!

    Well worth the money.

I also got the BBR 375+ Street and it is amazing in it's way but the CMC is the clear winner.

I'll post some pics as soon as I can find my camera.

If you have not gotten this car yet, do so ASAP as it is amazing!!
