For those of you that have this in your FF/812/GTC4Lusso, is it a bad idea of you're actually using the boot fairly regularly? Groceries, car seat for the little one, etc?

If so, is alcantara also a bad idea?

Leather on my F12B: Unless you the items down they spend their time "skating" in the boot and driving one mad....made tbis mistake once and never again
    Have I taken the option.

Alcantara is nice - just take care with luggage etc as it doesn't wear so well

Sounds like carpet is the best bet if the GTC4 is going to be truly used to haul the family's belongings, stroller included.

I have a full leather trunk in the FF and combined alcantara & leather in the F12. I typically place a quilt or thick blanket in the trunk before hauling heavier items or boxes. So, I do think you lose some practicality over standard carpet. Both examples are beautiful and worth the extra care to me.

Therefore purely aesthetic with only down side ie....easily damaged unless cared for in the manner in which you do....

$506 USD on the GTC4  i'm all for paying for nice things, but that doesn't feel like even $25 went into it.

I have the leather boot carpet, and it does look gorgeous. But indeed, I can hear the things sliding right and left all the time. I dont have the net (and probably wont buy it at this price!) but I might consider looking into some ways to secure things down a little.
