there was one on San Fran Craigslist a while back for $25k.

GREAT cars. The power delivery is very flat, overall pretty un-exciting, but its fast as snot and very sensible. Pretty neutral all around, but lots of power.

I didnt say not fun to drive. In fact, they are great... like I said, GREAT car. They just dont "excite". your opinion may be different. Very German, very neutral, good feel, lots of go... just not delivered in any sort of blow your socks off sort of way, but still lots of go. Great sleeper.

more grunt than the V70R. More refined feeling than the Dodge Magnum RT AWD, though less grunt and excitement.

similer milage S8s are a bit more, and if I were to get that i might as well get an 04 A8 for the new body style and interior... I do hear the 01-03 S8s are funner to drive, but the newer A8s are much nicer in and out.

What do you want? My 2.7T A6 is a luxobarge! It friggin flys, and has alot of corner roll(for now), but with the awd still corners great with alot of painful screams from the tires! You can drive across the country as the seats are great and the highway miles are soaked up with no wind noise and comfortable ride and steering. If you haven't had an Audi, and you drive in snow, you will know what the fuss is all about with "Quattro". You will be waiting for those days when the weather man tells you to stay inside so you can play outside! The V8 S6 leaves little for engine tuning(if thats your sort of thing?). The 2.7T can get 320hp easy with a chip....(me: soon) and 450hp+ with some K04's and other fun stuff. The Tiptronic transmission is smooth, but has a very annoying torque converter....When it locks at low speeds, there is a fluid release inside which causes the rpms to bounce around...Mine has a custom exhaust which is kinda annoying(not loud, more of a droning at low speed) on days when you just want quiet(which audis are stock), but on days when you remember you have a German tank with a racing engine its fun to have. I have yet to be in a V8.....But have huge fender envy!
