I'm cleaning out the garage today and want to throw some large parts on ebay. When I bought my car a year and a half ago, it came with a European front valance that the previous owner damaged and repaired, and a set of Rona 17" aftermarket rims with tires, spacers, center caps and bolts. I'm a purist, so I'll never use these on my car and they are collecting dust. Any thoughts on what I should list them for on ebay?

Also, so I describe them accurately, how do I determine if the valance is a genuine Ferrari part? Will wheels that fit the 308 also fit other models?

    Thanks everyone.

The repro valences are VERY thin, the OEM ones are pretty thick 'glass.

Any idea what these thinkness are? Makes me wonder if I have a factory or aftermarket euro valences.

Mine is pretty tough and it was orange under the blue paint after I wacked it into a think piece of asphalt Ao I think it might be factory.

An orange coating underneath would be consistent with at east some factory fiberglass (i.e. the rear valance on my 308), but I have a steel front so I can't confirm the same definitely applies there. All of the aftermarket ones I have seen are white.

I am interested in the valance. PM me a price when you decide what you would like for it.

Valence looks like steel in spots. I think that would be OEM.

It would appear that the Valance is OEM based on everyone's description and doing some research on aftermarket ones. I threw both on ebay yesterday because I'm really hoping for a local sale, but I'm getting a TON of inquiries from outside of Southern California. Any suggestions on shipping if I decide to go that route?

Buy some boxes at U-Haul and ship FedEx ground would be my advice. Good luck with your sales.

The best way to ship oversized items is via Greyhound Express. The buyer will have to pick up the item at the Greyhound Bus Station.

It'***** and miss with Greyhound. Sometimes cheaper, sometime not. I generally find there is little savings with wheels/tires and items as big as hoods. Larger items, like maybe the valence might be cheaper on though.

In researching greyhound, it appears the maximum declared value you can ship is $300 per bus-bill. Just an FYI for anyone considering that option.

Why don't you put them up on ebay and set a reserve for, maybe, 3 grand then sit back and see where the bids max out.

Then you will have your true ebay value

Thanks everyone. I decided to offer shipping after all. I'll just bring them to the local Fedex store and have them package everything up so it is done right. I don't want to waste people's time by listing them and waiting to see how high the auction goes without selling them.
