I have had mine (silver) since May & I really like it. Good: BIG screen, compact size, cool looks, has not ever dropped a call (!); last phone (T730 w/ Verizon dropped calls too often) Bad: Has a setting for video clips, but it is BS because you cannot record video, no insurance available (until very recently) due to percieved fragility issues. Overall: Great phone. ...thinking about having the case done in Corrso Rossa with a small Prancing Horse on it...
Thanks for all the responses! I think I'm definitely going to get one now, but going off on your response sefac, I was actually going to wait until the V3x came out to get the V3 as I expect prices will drop a lot. Are there any clear advantages of the v3x over the v3 and should i get the v3x instead? Thanks again, Jon

I've had mine for about 3 months now, with Cingular service; Likes: -ultra compact, the exact same size as a business card -very light - regardless of what pocket it is in, it never makes the garment sag -no antenna externally -big color screen -very cool looking -long battery life Dislikes: -reception is only average -drops calls about 30% of the time -screen impossible to see in daylight -clarity is not the best - I find myself asking the person on the other end to repeat themselves very often, and this is at full volume (maybe I'm just losing my hearing?) -with my old phone, I could dial by feeling the buttons on the phone. The Razr has too smooth a face to distinguish between buttons Conclusion: If you want a styling statement, then this is the phone for you. If you want the best functioning phone on the planet, then this is not for you.
While in New York this weekend, we (me and my dad) stopped off in the Samsung Experience place. For people who don't know what it is, its just a huge "showroom" for samsung stuff. You can't buy anything there, its there simply to show off their stuff. They have some incredible phones now, including one that is a digital camera with a phone on that back. Its hard to explain but thats what it is. On one side, its a camera and on the other, its a phone. Anyway... A phone caught my eye. Its bigger than most phones, but not bulky. Basically, it was just right. It runs on windows mobile and has a 3gb storage for songs (not really that important to me, but a bonus). I was playing around with it and realized that i love it. Its the Samsung SGH-i300. The scroll wheel thing took me about 2 minutes to get used to and the speaker on the phone is pretty good. Its a bit "staticy" but decent considering this is a cell phone. I'll probably get the unlocked version of this instead of the new razr since i'll probably save a ton of money and i get more features on it than the razor will probably have. Just thought i'd let you know. Here's some info: http://msmobiles.com/news.php/3667.html And a not too good review here: http://www.mobilegazette.com/samsung-i300.htm The all black version looks hot Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of Samsung, my best friend is a project manager there. He showed me a new phone he's testing over lunch last Friday. It's a slider phone (bottom half of the phone slides down exposing the keys) about the size of the RAZR. Construction is part metal, part plastic like the RAZR. Where this phone excelled over the RAZR was the bright, crisp screen and camera. I took pictures with my RAZR and his phone and the difference in image quality was night/day. The phone also had a memory slot for a new type of industry-standard memory card. The was branded for T-Mobile so I think T-Mobile will be getting it first. I wanted to take pictures of it, but my best friend wouldn't let me. ///Michael.
