No, don't recall the name (they told me, but I forgot). It was the first Aston in that colour, something new they are trying. It's a matte finish and the while has some pearl to it.

Here are a couple pix of the Skyfall Silver car I drove:

Much better than the DBS. Brilliant suspension, brakes, steering. Aston Martin is making a clear statement that they're not pursuing the last ounce of performance and making the Vanquish is a grand, grand tourer. The new interior is a massive improvement.

that's is good to hear! from the design standpoint, i love the ext and int. getting the car to live up to the looks have always been the struggle, so it's great to hear of the big improvement. curious how manufacturers have all gone away from pure GT's...i mean, trying to make a world class GT and not pretend for it to be supersport, gt, track demon, etc, etc. it's weird, but for me, my 'reference' pt, my touchstone if you will, has always been the old E39 M5..though it's not a GT car at all...i loved the way that car balanced ride and handling..and that mad V8, superb. still hoping to find a new, 21st century, standard that works as such for me.

You'll have to try the Vanquish, then. I think you'll like it.

Aston Martin does not build sportscars, they build GTs. That's it.

Unfortunately they try to follow Ferrari and now start to build crazy starship-looking cars. Not only Ferrari is much better at this, Ferrari has built much more real sportscars.

When I saw the new Vanquish first, I thought "it's time to get a Vanquish now!".

Since one week I have a 2007 Vanquish S, which for me is the best looking modern AM and the last real one. I've had a few (used) DB9 which are nice to have, but don't have those typically british looks I miss on the newer Astons.

Not a fan of the rear-end. DBS looked a lot better from behind IMO.
Other than that I like it a lot.

With all the criticism here, deserved or not,it is still probably one of the most fabulous looking cars available currently.
    I love it.

So much better than the old Vanquish and possibly the best looking AM going by pics, I'll have to wait and see if it is nicer than the V12V in person.

I think I've mentioned this elsewhere here, but when I see pictures of this new Vanquish my chest hurts with pangs of longing.

    If I could only have an 80's V8, a DB AR1, an '05 Vanquish S, a Vantage V12 (2011), and this, I could be happy. :D
