This may be the coolest Ferrari on the road. Paint the calipers black.
In many ways you have answered your own question - you are struggling with the color combination. Especially in South Africa this car is going to cost a small fortune. I think you should truly love your purchase and not to have to rationalize your way into the purchase. Personally, a Speciale should by nature be a brash and aggressive, but that by itself should not have to conflict with good taste. There really is a lot going on and only you know if you can live with this. Good luck with your decision
Thanks all for your opinions! I certainly agree with some of you that the car wasn't spec'd well (to my taste, anyway). I will be waiting for the right one to come my way!
You may wait awhile... Paint the calipers red and you have a gorgeous and unique Speciale. Most of the guys on the board here can't even match their shirt to their pants so I wouldn't put too much stock in it (ask their wives)
I normally am quite a big fan of yellow calipers but in this case I agree, get them done in red (or black). Absolutely changes the car! The other pics of similar colour scheme but with red calipers work really, really well. Love it.
Might be worth doing some negotiating on the red one for sale, yes the mileage is a bit high for one year but if you intend to keep the for a long time them that's not so much of an issue.
Well guys, I ended up paying a little more than I'd hoped but getting the exact spec I wanted! Here she is in all her glory. More shots to follow once I've got her home. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice. Now consider lowering it 20mm front and back, and it will look perfect Then, if you aren't quite satisfied with the sound of the OEM exhaust, you can easily make some changes that will make a big difference in the sound
