Well done! The premium paid is certainly worth it.
beauty in red but i liked the black with stripe as well. dont usually like black in 458 as it hides the beautiful lines but the stripe wakes it up
Hi guys, A short update on how I find the transition from 458 Spider to Speciale. It really is only once you've spent some time up close to a Speciale that the magnitude of the differences between it and a normal 458 becomes fully apparent. They truly are very different cars, clearly built for different types of customer. I certainly don't view one being superior to the other - a Speciale guy is not the same as a Spider / Italia guy. After just a brief amount of driving, it is amazing how much "sharper" and more aggressive the Speciale is. Quicker steering, more aggressive gear shifts and unholy road noise. While this absolutely hits my spot, I think the car is far too extreme for most Ferrari customers who still value comfort and refinement. It also occurred to me that a Speciale is probably a car that you need to own AFTER you've owned a few sports cars, or even Ferraris, in order to fully appreciate. I cannot wait to take the car around our newly renovated home track, Kyalami. I will certainly revert with an on-track comparison between the Spider and the Speciale. It has been a long time since I've been this excited about a car!
