Obviously the mileage/speedometer issue but I have been vocal about that with this here for 16 years now. I don't trust the ones "without stories".

I have a friend looking at this with enough level of seriousness that I am asking you guys for your opinion. Anyone here know something about this particular car or the seller?

Looking for a good driver, not a concours example. The lack of a/c and other little items here and there are not a problem. The items listed as missing or non-working are just fun weekend projects for him.

If he doesn't buy there will be regret in a couple of years.

Other than aftermarket speakers in the door, it looks like an original example that is pretty much intact.

Check on rust, especially in the battery area. You can't see the rear diaper and the trunk carpet isn't OEM, but neither of those should be deal-breakers. Same for tools/books/jack roll.

Given condition, I think the price is middle of the road in this softer market.

Thankfully, this is reflected in the price of the car

I think it looks pretty nice. With what you said about "fun weekend projects" wrt your friend, he'd be more than happy with it. He can certainly drive it as is and enjoy his time behind the wheel. I don't think 308 GT4's are going to go to much lower in prices.

I'd buy it if I was looking for one.

Very nice example and priced right.

What caught my eye was the VIN plate on the door jamb. It looks "too-perfect"...it has an non-Italian "4" like others in the same date range and I have never seen one with all the numbers so perfectly with-in the lines. In addition, the weight data is usually in "black" and pre-printed and not engraved. Looks like alot of time and effort was put into the production of this vin-plate. FWIW :)

Beware when buying on Ebay and paying by bank wire ... Ebay won't help you if the goods are "not as described" ...
