Can anybody tell me how this bracket attatched to the rear of the bulhead is fixed? Mine has come loose and before i pull away anymore of the alluminium away i was hoping somebody could help me!.
I have a horrible suspicion that its welded on which could mean horror of horrors that the engine might have to come back out!!!
    Thanks in advance,
    Graham.

Graham, can describe a bit further. Did you mean to attach a photo. I have a few close ups in that area that may help.

Kevin, Indeed i did mean to attatch a photo! (ever since i turned 50 i am losing it more by the day!)
And i have two more photos now and an update. I used the Dremmel to cut through the alloy sheet and peeled back to find my worst nightmare. The bracket has cracked off on the weld! God knows how. Anyway I think that i should be able to get in with a Mig welder and then repair the alloy with a patch....S##t happens
Good excuse to buy a welder as it's about time i had one.

Graham, sorry to see that after all the hard work you put in. If it were not for the aluminium sheet, the repair should be straight forward and tidy. Just had a look at mine and simulated a mig welding tourch access. I think removing the inlet manifold would help, particularly for the right side. I am sure you know, it is easy and quick to remove and should help get a tidier weld. Watch those fuel tanks and fuel beather pipes, they are awfully close.
