Can anyone point me to a diagram showing which way the seals go into a 360 (or similar) throw-out bearing?
I have the parts numbers versus locations and have installed the new ones like for like as per the old one but I just want to confirm they are in the correct way around.
    The WSM doesn’t show it.

    Thanks.....

    Thanks Daniel,

All 6 are different and the slider rings in the middle of each end appear to be reversible.
The other 4 oil seals have a rubber backing ring and a groove which I assume means they should go in a certain way....see poor picture.

I put the new ones in as per the old ones but wanted to check before I fitted it to the car....

The middle seal does not have a difference. The outer stepped seal should be installed with the o-ring on the outer edge of the groove. this should have the edge pointing to the fluid. The inner seal should have the edge pointing toward the fluid in the slave. I don't have one apart at the moment to show pictures, hope this helps.

    Thanks....

I spoke to my main dealer today and one of the experienced tech’s said they go in like this.....

The black shaded areas are the o’rings. Is that what you mean?

The one I took off the car was different. The rear most seal on the slave (outer one, large diameter) had the o’ring towards the centre.

That is the way I do them. That is what I was trying to explain, I just didn't have a cool drawing to explain it.

    Thanks.....

The one installed in my car which I think is the one it left the factory with, had one of the seals in the wrong way round!

No and it has a 2000 date mark on it so assume it’s been in for 17 years and 44k miles.
It wasn’t changed when the clutch was done at 22k.

It’s more of a scraper ring so probably not the primary seal which is the inner one.
