I know a lot of people slate FedEx but I have to give them a thumbs up, I ordered something from the far east last week and received it in under 38 hours form time of pick up, to top it off, this week I received a package from NJ in under 24 hours despite only paying for 3 day. I am very impressed with the service, especially when compared to UPS who seem to always reschedule my packages and just leave them at the door without so much as knocking.

every package I've sent or received this year (via FedEx or UPS) has arrived ahead of schedule. I think the economy/decline in shipping by manufacturers and retailers has created a lot of slack in the shipping industry.

at any rate, its nice to see people under-promise and over-deliver for a change! :)

UPS broke an ultrasound machine that I had insured for $5000 (it was old).

They inspected it, said they didn't brealk it, refused to pay, despite the fact I bought insurance.

They basically said I shipped a broken machine to scam them.

My lawyer said it wasn't worth the cost of a lawsuit.

So, I bought insurance and got screwed anyway.

Undoubtedly. Transportation industry is so slow that we're bored enough to deliver your stuff on time. :)

Don't get used to it, though. There will be a surcharge coming, just as soon as we can get enough leverage to make someone pay it.
