For those who missed it, FCA had two days at Watkins Glen and the weather was awesome, the event well-organized, and the track simply spectular! Many, many thanks to EVERYONE who made it happen (Bob, etc).

REMEMBER: FCA Lime Rock event in July includes Historic race and much more.

    Hey Steve --

What was the final toll for Turn 10 this week? I was shocked to read that I had company in Armco-land, although it sounds like they over-cooked the entry while my problem was getting on the gas before tracking out. Oy.

By the way, you and Dennis were right about my car - most of the schmutz either washed off or buffed out. I haven't gotten quotes on the fiberglass yet but it has to be less than sheet metal, right?

Thanks again for all of your help and support. I hope to be at the July event.

Shiny side up (and I should know)!

    Ron

Good to hear that most of the crap cleaned off Ron.

Now Turn 10 is the same as "Radius 10" on the trakc map, right? I came up on the Lotus wreck the first day in my instructors car not 4 seconds after it happened.

It was a scary sight, I thought it was a multi-car collsion given the number of pieces on the track.

I've posted some of the pictures from both days of the SCDA event and I do believe you make an cameo in them.

Two total, both at SCDA event. None at FCA event i am aware of. Glad the schmutz washed right off. Please remember to get your brakes bleed.

PETER: Wow, i bet that was a scarey sight! All in all the whole four days was a great time and everyone seemed to go home happy and safe. Look forward to seeing you at SCDA Lime Rock in June?

    July too :)

    Hey Steve,

My next SCDA event will probably be in November for Lime Rock. Although I may just head up to LimeRock on some of the other days to indulge my picture taking hobby.

The LimeRock track is one of the better ones for closeups of the cars in action.

    Take care,
    -Pete

    Pete -

Great photos! I'm glad my only cameo was in the pits.

    Steve -

Brakes were bled/flushed as soon as I got home. Changed the oil and coolant, too.

Once they cooled down the the brakes were OK to drive home on, at least as good as a Buick or a Crown Vic. Different? Yes. Challenging? A little. Fun? Not so much.

Hoping to see you at Lime Rock.

    Best,

    Ron
