Does anyone have advice for purchasing tickets for the race at Spa?
    Source for buying?
    Best location?
    Thanks

Carol has a lot of information she will be happy to pass along. She asked me to tell you that she will get on the net this evening and get the info to you.

Are you planning on attending this year? We will be there. Our seats are in the Silver 6 section (new location for us this year - we've been in Silver 8 on our other visits.).

    Ciao,

    John

    Byron -
Here's some info on tickets. We got ours as soon as we got home from Spa last year and they just came this week for the upcoming race. I just found the brochure for the '05 tickets. Here's the contact info:
    www.belgium-grandprix.be we've also bought tickets from www.gpticketshop.com

We've walked the track many times checking out the different grandstands and always seem to come back to the same area. We've always been in Silver 8 (***nes - showing 260 Eur) but this year we switched to Silver 6 (Pouhon - showing 320 Eur). Both sections have large screen tv's. Parking for these areas is basically in a pasture (lots of fun when it rains) and there's a bus that you can take to the entrance (and then there's a walk to the grandstands). We been getting there very early and parking on the road gratis that goes to the entrance. Most of the time after the race the bus situation is less than best so you end up walking anyway. As far as staying, we've stayed in different places but are back in Bastogne again. Very easy, nice drive to Stavelot. We fly into Brussels and rent a car. Sunday after the race we stay at the Sheraton located at the Brussels airport.

The sked for weekend is a full one. Thursday is a pitwalk if you have a weekend ticket. Friday is 9:30 GP2; 11:00 F1 practice; 12:30 Mini Cooper practice; 14:00 F1 practice; 15:30 GP2 qualifying; 16:30 Porsche Supercup practice. Saturday starts at 9 with F1 practice; 10:15 F1 practice; 11:25 Porsche Cup qualifying; 13:00 F1 qualifying; 14:25 GP2; 14:45 GP2 race (27 laps); 17:15 Mini Cooper Challenge race. Sunday gates open 6 am - 10 am: GP2 race; 11:25 Porsche SuperCup race; 12:30 F1 drivers parade; 12:45 Grid presentation; 13:30 pit lane open; 13:34 pit lane closed; 13:46 National anthem; 14:00 Grand Prix (44 laps).

If you need anything else just let us know. It's a bit more than just ticket info - hope it helps!

    Carol
