You might need long arms and a hacksaw if you go via the dash... Image Unavailable, Please Login You can prove the ticking is caused by the TGK valve by removing the HVAC fuse (at least on a F430). It's also said that a fuse reset sometimes gets rid of the ticking completely. I haven't yet figured out why this is any different from doing a battery reset. I guess in some ways it's easier. You won't have to do an engine management relearn.
Good point. I guess the author of the TKG fix tutorial didn't think of that (like me) Anyway, the plug is shown in the photo.
Actually, I posted a 360 photo.. I somehow thought we were talking about 360's (Sunday morning here); 430 pic here. Image Unavailable, Please Login If you have a RHD car, it may be here: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, I found it and unplugged and plugged back... For some reason today it did not do it when I tried... I'll keep an ear on it
May be unrelated, however I had a similar ticking noise under the dash when the ignition was on. I checked all this stuff and couldn’t find any issues. I also had an intermittent fault with my hazards staying on solid occasionally. I finally managed to source an OEM replacement hazard/turn signal (205713) module (which is no longer made) which fixed the lights issue. However, I have also noticed that the ticking noise under the dash has also vanished, so maybe it was a ticking associated with a failing or sticking relay for the indicators/turn signals. Anyways, probs not this, but just thought I’d let you know
